Up with Gravity

"The wonderful thing about science is it doesn't ask for you faith, it just asks for your eyes" ~xkcd

These things shouldn't keep shocking me, but they do. Apparently Christian Scientists don't believe in gravity. Gravity! Medicine was one thing, death was just abstract enough, but GRAVITY! I, please excuse the pun, am down with gravity.

I remain,
Georgie

Uh... talking about evolution in Sunday School (yes, already a bad idea, but it couldn't be avoided) and apparently gravity was among the "physical forces" (including things like death...and time) that don't exist. I actually almost cried, then and when a organic chem major said evolution wasn't true. (I later realized he was kidding and fortunately the teacher didn't catch on either)

...time doesn't exist?

*boggles*

Yeah, right. It's the whole material world not existing thing, but you can see why I don't get on so well with them (what with the whole history obsession and all).

...so Christian Scientists would like Ceremony very much, would they?

Yeah... the way that I like chocolate. I'm just waiting for it to blow up in their face.

So long as we have comfortable chairs and popcorn, I'm happy to watch.
